About the Artist

Kim and paintingsKimberly Beals is an award-winning artist whose paintings reflect her love and familiarity of New England scenes, seascapes and landscapes.

Her interest in the applied arts began at an early age, but it was not until the early 1990’s that she was able to make a commitment to painting. Raised on the coast of Rhode Island she now lives in North Conway Village, New Hampshire.

Ms. Beals has been called a painter of “Americana with Impressionistic Lines”. Her paintings, in both acrylic and oils, make a strong statement with soft and somber hues generally contrasted with a bright color or two. Her palette is generous in its diversity and pleasing to the eye.

Beals has been honored with the selection of her painting, Mid-Winter on Mount Washington, for the cover of the February 1995 issue of Yankee Magazine. Another painting, Crabbing at Green Hill, was chosen for the summer cover of Ocean Views, a society magazine published in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Her numerous awards include many first, second and third place ribbons, purchase prizes and judges’ awards.

Most of Beals’ paintings are in private collections. She recently sold one of her most recognized paintings, “Early Morning – North Conway Village” for $10,000 establishing a record high for one of her works. She also produces limited edition and open edition prints and lithographs of her works. Unless otherwise noted, she retains the copyright to all of her artwork.
